Shalo was found wandering in narrow alleys of a dense neighborhood in downtown Denpasar. Whilst like many other strays in urban areas he looked for food in thrash bins, Shalo carried large wound, opening from his head to his neck and even his shoulder. People sent him away in whatever they can not because they were afraid of getting bitten but because of horrible odor spreading from his rotten wound where hundreds or maybe thousands of maggots lived and eating up his flesh, continuously extending the wound even larger.
