Our Mission

BaliRuSS was found with very simple mission in mind, to save and to give a better living to animals – especially dogs and cats – both living stray as well as domesticated but do not have adequate care for various reasons.

Saving life from various threats like disease, abuse, consumption, and elimination. Giving a better life in forms of health, food sufficiency, and safe place to live.

Taking Mission into Actions: Activities and Programs

BaliRuSS translates its mission into a few actionable activities and programs, simple but continuously performed by a team whose empathy to animals lives in their veins.

Education

Promoting better awareness in animal care by educating pet owners both in general pet care as well as preventing them from abusing their pet. We also continuously motivate people to choose local Bali cats and dogs instead of expensive foreign races.

Treatment

Medical treatment both consulting and medication for dogs and cats both stray and owned by those with financial constrains that prevent them to give a good care of their pets.

Rescue

Medical treatment both consulting and medication for dogs and cats both stray and owned by those with financial constrains that prevent them to give a good care of their pets.

Shelter

Temporary home for dogs and cats, especially those caught in rescue operation. Many of them arrive in a severe condition for various reasons and live healthy and happily at the shelter after major treatment efforts.

Program Orang Tua Asuh (OTA) – Foster Parents Program

Those interested in animal welfare but find limited ability to take care of pet at home can join this program. With our OTA Program, all you need to do is sending us a certain amount of money every month to cover the needs of the animal you choose to foster. The animal will stay at our shelter and you can come to visit and give your “parent’s touch” anytime you want.

Street Animal Rescue Team (SART)

As its title imposes, the team focuses in saving animals – especially dogs and cats – from life-threatening conditions. Severe illness, abandoned victim of traffic accident, abuse by human, dog meat trading, elimination for various reasons, are some examples that frequently occur against stray animals. From time-to-time SART gets into the field to save them and give them medical treatment. In the cases where its condition does not allow it to life normally, it will be taken to the shelter or to the hospital.
